The mattress topper casing itself is a soft and comfortable yet durable and long lasting 300 thread count cotton sateen.

A top quality "Secure-Fit" elasticated 300 thread count cotton sateen skirt is fitted around all the sides of the topper, this pulls underneath the topper with elastic in the same as a fitted bed sheet does. This ensures that the topper is attached to the bed much more securely and cannot shift once fitted. This is far superior as compared to the corner straps so often fitted to mattress toppers, and another example of Silk Bedding Direct's absolute best practice.

The silk interior is kept firmly in place within the casing without the need to sew back and forth across the whole of the mattress topper. Instead, to avoid crushing the precious silk inside, attractive flower patterns are loop sewn at regular intervals. This ensures that the insulating layers of air between the fine silk threads are kept in place properly without damaging the silk, and results in a more comfortable, luxurious and higher quality silk-filled mattress topper.
