Long-strand mulberry silk-filled pillow from Silk Bedding Direct All silk pillows produced by Silk Bedding Direct are filled with luxurious 100% natural and hypoallergenic pure mulberry silk. Absolutely top quality long-strand mulberry silk is wrapped around a medium-strand mulberry silk core. Providing absolutely top quality at an affordable price – now even further discounted in our sale.

The long-strand mulberry silk is the very same top grade mulberry silk that is used for the interiors of our top of the market mulberry silk-filled duvets and mattress toppers, which are generally recognised as the very best quality available. The pillow casing itself is a deluxe 300 thread count fine cotton sateen, which is soft to the touch, durable and long-lasting.

Please be aware that some pillows are advertised as 100% pure mulberry silk but in reality contain off-cuts from silk left over from the production of other products. These off-cuts are then seamed together to give the appearance of unadulterated mulberry silk (the same method is sometimes undertaken in the production of silk-filled duvets and mattress toppers too).

The seaming process requires other materials and chemicals, and the finished “seamed” silk is then bleached to hide the process. Silk pillows made in this manner can still be legally described as 100% mulberry silk and are cheaper to produce, but have lost much of their natural health and beauty properties during the process and are an inferior pillow.

No chemicals, other substances or materials, or any other kind of treatments are used. The interior is 100% pure and natural mulberry silk and nothing else.
